FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to break Neymar's world record transfer fee on an African superstar who has more league goals than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo so far this season.

According to The Sun, Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah could soon become the world's most expensive player ever.

It has been claimed that Real, Barca and PSG are all keeping a close eye on the Egypt international, who has scored 28 league goals for the Reds so far this season.

The aforementioned clubs are reportedly ready to break the transfer record – which is currently the £198 million (R3.36 billion) price tag Les Parisiens paid for Neymar– on the player.

Salah has taken his career to new heights since joining Liverpool at the beginning of the season, and has even found himself being compared to Barca's Lionel Messi.

The African star scored four goals in his side's 5-0 win over Watford on the weekend, which took him to the top of the European Golden Shoe table.

Transfermarkt value the 25-year-old at £72 million (R1.2 billion), but after losing Philippe Coutinho to Barca in January, the English club is likely to command a massive fee for his signature should they decide to sell.

I'll advice my President His Excellency Mr Florentino Perez to pull out of this race to sign Salah as I personally feel he still needs to prove himself not this one season wonder we've seen......rather go for Ledowoski, that Cameroonian Porto striker Vincet Aboubakar, Salah failed at Chelsea, tried at Roma...he still needs to prove himself, Robin Van Persie had one good season in his life at Arsenal & everyone thought he was the man.....went to Man utd & no one ever heard of him ever since.
