Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that both Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo are designated free-kick takers for his team.
The Italian appeared at a press conference on Friday, in the build up to Saturday’s match against Athletic and spoke about the debate surrounding who should be taking free-kicks for Real Madrid.
“It's obvious (who should be taking free kicks),” he told Marca. “Cristiano takes our free-kicks from the left and Bale takes them from the right.”
The former PSG coach continued to discuss his predictions for this season and concluded by saying that he feels that he has the backing of the powers that be at the Spanish club.
“I have every faith in this team and I'm convinced we're going to have a great campaign,” he added.
“I've felt backed by the club since my very first day here. A lenient approach led me to three Champions League titles. The club has asked for a tougher approach and I have plenty of experience there too.”
