The 33-year-old's father reportedly arrived in Barcelona this morning ahead of a meeting with president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
A few Spanish publications have been able to get comments out of him before his crunch talks with the Blaugrana, however, including Cuatro, who seemingly asked him directly about his son's reported links with City.

Jorge Messi is said to have responded to rumours that his son has his sights set on joining the Citizens by saying that "there is nothing", while, regarding talk that his son could leave the Catalans, he said: "I don't know."
The Spanish publication also quoted him as saying: "No, I didn't talk to Pep (Guardiola)," in response to reports suggesting that he and his son have been in contact with the City manager.
His most telling words, though, were "It's difficult to see Leo staying", which will concern Barcelona fans around the world.
It is understandable that Messi's father is coy on transfer discussions for now, although that could very well change following his expected meeting with Bartomeu. To keep up to date with the latest, follow our LIVE Messi updates!
