FC Barcelona presidential candidate Victor Font has explained why he is not interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar if he wins the election.

There were reports in the Spanish media over the weekend claiming that some candidates have already made contact with the Brazilian over a possible return to the Camp Nou.
While Neymar has been linked with a return for a couple of years now, Font says he would not look into that idea because of how the Brazilian left the club.
"I know that a player like Neymar would fit perfectly into a project led by Xavi Hernández," Font said, per BeSoccer.
"The economic reasons are obvious and also institutional, but we are not interested, because he is somebody who the club gave everything and left us in a difficult spot."

Since joining PSG from Barcelona in 2017, Neymar has registered 72 goals and 45 assists in 91 appearances.
