FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta has broken his silence on the claims that Lionel Messi could make a sensational return to the Camp Nou.

Laporta and the club unveiled Dani Alves at the Camp Nou on Wednesday after the Brazilian defender completed his return on a free transfer.
Spanish publication Marca reported that there are things happening behind the scenes to help bring Messi back to the Camp Nou after the 2022/2023 season.
Laporta was asked about Messi and Andres Iniesta possibly returning to the club on Wednesday afternoon and his answer certainly gave the fans some hope.
"I do not rule it out," he said at the Camp Nou, as per the Mirror.
"It has happened with Dani, who has already said that age is just a number and has also made a significant financial effort to return.
"You are talking about two spectacular players, with Leo and Andres.
"I cannot predict the future, they are still playing.
"We will always keep them in mind, but at the moment they have current contracts with other clubs. You never know in life."
