Despite Lionel Messi having won four UEFA Champions League titles with FC Barcelona, Andres Iniesta has claimed that the Catalan club and the Argentine should have won the competition more.
Messi has celebrated European success four times since his arrival on the scene with the Blaugrana in the 2004/05 season, and scored in two finals.
Iniesta, however, feels his former colleague and club should have lifted even more Champions League trophies, but accepts that Barca have gone up against some top teams in the tournament.
"With the team at Barcelona and with Leo there, Barcelona surely should have been able to win some more Champions Leagues," he said, according to the Daily Star.
"Football is like this though, you play tough opponents who also have talent.
"It's important that when you do win things, you savour them."
Barca, who were knocked out at the semi-final stage last season after an emphatic comeback by Liverpool in the second leg, have won the competition just twice in the past decade.
