The saga around the world’s most-expensive footballer is slowly picking up pace after Los Blancos entered the picture.
Widespread reports still suggest Neymar only wants to return to Barcelona, but it remains to be seen whether the Blaugrana can finance the deal after already splashing the cash on Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong.
Real, though, are currently still focusing on their axe-list, with Gareth Bale the biggest name Zinedine Zidane reportedly wants to get rid of. The Welshman has reportedly received a whopping €1 million (R16 million) per week contract offer from a Chinese side, but the transfer fee has not met Real’s asking price so far.
Bale could also return to Tottenham Hotspur, with Real desperate to get the 30-year-old off their wage bill. A departure of Bale would in return allow the Spanish giants to pursuit Pogba, who is said to be Zidane’s final jigsaw to his new ‘Galacticos’ and recently stated it might be time for a new challenge for him.
United, meanwhile, are still chasing Leicester City and England centre-back Harry Maguire, with cross-town rivals Manchester City believed to be monitoring the situation as well. The Citizens themselves could still lose Leroy Sane, who is being heavily chased by Bayern Munich.
Pep Guardiola recently admitted that it’s up to the player to decide his future and it remains to be seen where the German wants to play in 2019/20.
Other superstars such as James Rodriguez are also still looking for new clubs and you can find the complete list, which also includes two African stars, in the gallery above.
