Spanish La Liga
Teams: Deportivo V Barcelona
Date: 18 January 2015
Venue: Municipal de Riazor
Barcelona will be looking to close the gap at the top of the Spanish La Liga table when they lock horns with Deportivo in a league match at Muicipal de Raizor on Sunday.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 20h00.
Barcelona are four points adrift of Real Madrid in second place and will be looking to reduce that deficit to two with a win over Deportivo.
Barcelona come into this game in fine form following a 4-0 win over Elche in a midweek Copa del Rey match.
Deportivo, on the other hand, come into this game off the back of a goalless draw against Levante in a league match last weekend.
That draw sees Deportivo hovering just above the relegation zone in 15 place and they will be desperate for a win to put some distance between themselves and the bottom of the table.
History, though, favours Barcelona who have played at Deportivo three times in the last five seasons and have won every time. They have scored 12 goals in those games, including a Messi hat-trick on the last visit.
Here is how they line-up.
Deportivo: Fabri; Juanfran, Sidnei, Lopo, Luisinho; Bergantiños, Domínguez, Medunjanin; Cuenca, Riera, Cavaleiro.
Barcelona: Bravo; Alves, Piqué, Mascherano, J. Alba; Busquets, Rakitić, Iniesta; Messi, Luis Suárez, Neymar.
