In the wake of Ed Woodward claiming Manchester United are set for a big rebuild ahead of next season, a world-class talent valued at £100 million ((R1.9 billion) has reportedly decided he wants to join the Red Devils at the end of the campaign.
According to the Daily Mirror, Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho has set his sights on joining the struggling Premier League giants next season.
The 19-year-old England international has enjoyed a fantastic campaign in Germany so far, and has quickly become one of the most exciting talents in the Bundesliga.
This season, Sancho has been in his most devastating form yet, having already contributed to 32 goals in 29 matches across all competitions for the German club.
The teenager appeared to be on both Chelsea and United's radar, but with the Blues reportedly closing in on the signing of Ajax Amsterdam's Hakim Ziyech, the Red Devils now appear to be frontrunners for his signature.
Sancho reportedly went close to joining United in August last year, but BVB managed to convince him to stay in the Bundesliga for one more campaign.
The winger is no stranger to Manchester, having previously been on the books of Manchester City before his 2017 switch to Dortmund, where he was given the No. 7 jersey despite being just 17 years old.
Since his arrival in Germany, Sancho, who could cost United about £100 million, has scored 29 goals and assisted a further 40 strikes in 84 senior matches for the Dortmund club.
