It has been reported that if former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri does replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United, he wants to take two players with him to Old Trafford.
The Italian manager has been tipped to take over from the Norwegian amid United's current struggles in the Premier League. The 20-time English champions are 12th on the table, having won just two of their first eight league matches of the 2019/20 season.
With Allegri unemployed since leaving the Bianconeri at the end of the previous campaign, the 52-year-old is the manager most heavily linked with replacing Solskjaer if results do not improve.
According to Tuttosport, the Italian tactician will attempt to bring two of his former Juve players – Emre Can and Mario Mandzukic – to United if he does get the job.
Mandzukic, 33, is already said to have reached a verbal agreement with the Red Devils, having not played a single minute for Juve since pre-season.
Can's playing time in Italy has also been limited since he left Liverpool, with the Germany international being left out of Maurizio Sarri's UEFA Champions League squad for the first half of the European campaign.
