Manchester United have had a quiet transfer window so far, but the latest reports suggest they have told one of their players he can leave on one condition.
The Red Devils have so far confirmed that Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia's contracts will not be extended, while Juan Mata is understood to be in the same position. The Spaniard's deal expires in June and will reportedly not be extended.
However, United's reduction of their wage bill will not stop with just those names. The Sun believes that the club's bosses met with Romelu Lukaku for showdown talks on Wednesday after he returned from his holiday in America.
It has been claimed the striker, who is understood to be keen on joining Inter Milan, was told he can leave the club if they receive an offer of £75 million (R1.38 billion).
United reportedly want to recoup what they paid for the 26-year-old two years ago, with word being that Inter will go after him once Antonio Conte has been confirmed as the club's new coach.
On Thursday morning, the Italian giants confirmed manager Luciano Spalletti had been sacked, and Conte is the favourite to replace the 60-year-old in the coming days.
Lukaku has made 96 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 42 goals and assisting another 13 strikes. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly prefers Marcus Rashford as his main striker, and Lukaku is not happy to continue a bit-part role at Old Trafford.
