Some of Manchester United's players are reportedly delighted that one of their former teammates left the club during the latest transfer window.
According to The Sun, several United players are happy that Chile international Alexis Sanchez has departed the club for the 2019/20 season.
The former FC Barcelona star has struggled since his arrival at the Red Devils in January last year, and will now spend the campaign on loan at Italian giants Inter Milan.
Sanchez is widely viewed as one of the biggest flop signings in the history of the English club, especially considering the wages he is on in Manchester.
The 30-year-old was said to be earning as much as £500 000 (R9 million) a week before tax with the 20-time English champions, half of which they will continue paying during his Inter loan.
Some of his United colleagues were believed to be unsettled by his huge weekly wage, a sentiment that was only worsened by the poor form he showed out on the field.
Sanchez has scored just five goals in 45 appearances for United since making the move to Old Trafford from Arsenal.
