Manchester United will reportedly face heavy competition from Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Algeria international Ismael Bennacer.
Bennacer has caught the eye in his 21 appearances for Serie A giants AC Milan in his debut season after joining from Empoli.
The Algerian's performances have now caught the eye of other European giants, with Algerian publication Competition claiming that United and City are monitoring the situation.
The report goes on to claim that the French champions have already made an offer of £35million for the 22-year-old.
While PSG's opening was reportedly turned down, it is being reported that the Italian top flight will be open to accepting a fee of £45million.
Competition were informed by a source that the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations winner won't be upset if Milan block any move.
'He remains calm and focused on his work. Even if tomorrow AC Milan blocks him, he is motivated to have another great season with the Rossoneri," the source said.
