The Premier League side has confirmed the arrival of goalkeeper Nathan Bishop, who is also an England U20 international, from Southend United.
"The opportunity to join Manchester United is a dream come true," Bishop told the club’s official website.
"This club has a great record of developing goalkeepers and I cannot wait to work with the coaches here to improve every single day.
"I want to take the chance to thank everyone at Southend United for everything they have done for me throughout my time there; without their support, this move would not have been possible."
Bishop, who made 39 first-team appearances for Southend, put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal at Old Trafford.
He becomes United's second signing in this window after Bruno Fernandes, while Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson have left the club.
