On Saturday, the Red Devils announced that Ander Herrera will leave the club when his contract expires on 30 June.
Just a day later, the club confirmed that captain Antonio Valencia will also depart at the end of his contract.
"Antonio has been a great player. He gave everything for you in every game, 100%. He would run all day," Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told MUTV after United's 2-0 home defeat to Cardiff City.
Valencia last featured for United on 2 January, but he came on for a brief farewell in the club's final home game of the season.
"Finally, he has been able to put a few weeks of training in and he has looked sharp," Solskjaer added.
"He has been unfortunate with injuries towards the end of his career. He has been a fantastic servant to the club.
"He has been Player of the Year, he has won so many trophies. I am sure he will be sad and emotional because he has had such a great time here."
Overall, the Ecuadorian has made 339 appearances for United, scoring 25 goals and assisting another 62 strikes, which helped the Red Devils to nine trophies during his stint at Old Trafford.
He was named the club's Player of the Year in 2011/12, and won the Players' Player of the Year that same season and again in 2016/17.
