Despite only playing a short cameo in Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Percy Tau’s Club Brugge in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night, new signing Bruno Fernandes has earned high praise from club icon Robin van Persie.
The 25-year-old Portuguese international played just nine minutes on Thursday, after replacing Diogo Dalot late in the second half.
Despite his short cameo, Fernandes did enough to impress supporters and pundits, and especially Van Persie, who noted there is something special about the former Sporting Lisbon player.
"He was unbelievable," he told BT Sport.
"With top players, you can tell straight away that he has something to add.
"He's silky on the ball, he has a pass, he has a nice cross and shot.
"So a joy to watch!"
Fernandes has played three times for United since his January arrival, assisting one goal.
