Man Utd Transfer News: Eight In, Five Out?

With struggling Manchester United currently in the bottom half of the Premier League table, many talented players are being linked with a move to the Red Devils, while there are five first-team stars who could be set to leave the club.

Having won just two of their first eight league matches of the 2019/20 season, the Red Devils currently find themselves 12th on the table with nine points, just two points above the relegation zone.

While manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shouldered some of the blame, some supporters seem to sympathise with the Norwegian, whom many feel does not have the squad to be successful at United.

This could lead to the board giving him funds to try to improve his team over the next few transfer windows, but who are the players on the club's radar at this moment?

The biggest target seems to be Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, a former Manchester City youth academy player. The 19-year-old has become a regular for BVB and the England national team, but could cost within the region of €100 million.

Leicester City midfielder James Maddison is also being discussed as an option after the brilliant first year he had in the Premier League with the Foxes. The playmaker, however, will not be allowed to leave cheaply.

United's No. 1 striker target is reportedly Olympique Lyon's Moussa Dembele, according to many publications across England. The 23-year-old's arrival at Old Trafford would probably see Marcus Rashford spend more time in wider positions, where many fans feel he is more effective.

The likes of Callum Wilson and Mario Mandzukic have also been discussed as short-term solutions, but who might leave if the 20-time English champions land their targets?

Many believe that Ashley Young's time at the club is coming to an end, and that perhaps it should have come a while ago. Much to the surprise of supporters, the Englishman was made club captain by Solskjaer, but did begin this season on the bench.

Managers Who Could Replace Solskjaer At Man Utd

Juan Mata is another veteran member of the squad who is tipped to leave if new players come in, as is Serbia international Nemanja Matic.
