Although Manchester United's No. 1 target for the upcoming transfer window is said to be Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, here are seven alternatives the club has reportedly lined up in case they do not land his signature.

The Red Devils are believed to be chasing the 20-year-old ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, but are also putting plans in place in case they fail to sign the former Manchester City starlet.
Sancho, an England international, has been heavily linked with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side over the past two years, and does appear closer now than before to joining the 20-time English champions.
While supporters have not seen meticulous strategising in the transfer window from United in recent years, the board and Solskjaer do seem to be preparing for a host of different situations should their pursuit of the BVB forward fail.
According to Manchester Evening News, Argentina starlet Thiago Almada has been added to the club's list of alternatives, despite City going close to signing the 19-year-old at the start of the campaign.
