One of most sought-after wonderkids in Europe, who is reportedly on Manchester United's radar and has been compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has claimed he sleeps with his hat-trick balls in his bed at night.
Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Haaland, 19, has struck five hat-tricks across all competitions for the Austrian club already this season, taking home a match ball for each treble.
In a recent interview, the Leeds-born striker, whose personality has earned him comparisons with his reported idol Ibrahimovic, spoke about his love for scoring goals, and even humorously claimed he keeps his hat-trick balls close to him at night.
"I sleep with the five balls that I have for each hat-trick I scored," he told Dagbladet.
"I lie in bed and I feel good with them.
"I look at them every day. They are my girlfriends."
Haaland has been chased by several top clubs across Europe, with United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona believed to be interested in securing his signature.
The teenager has scored 26 goals and assisted a further six strikes in 18 matches for Salzburg so far this season so.
