According to Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils have reportedly plan to make up to four signings ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
It is claimed that United have put their plan to sign a new left-back on hold after the emergence of Brandon Williams, with the midfield and attack now being prioritised by the board.
Earlier this week, chief executive Ed Woodward claimed they are looking to add more signings at the end of the season, although manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also said that Bruno Fernandes' in January arrival could affect their spending later this year.
It is believed the Red Devils remain interested in Leicester City midfielder James Maddison, as well as Aston Villa playmaker and captain Jack Grealish, who has been in arguably the best form of his senior career this season.
Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Donny van de Beek is also believed to be on the club's shortlist, as is Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, who reportedly went close to joining United at the beginning of the current campaign.
Talented 16-year-old Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham is said to be on the Mancunians' radar, with the club desperate to restore its status as one of the best teams in England.
A number of players, such as Paul Pogba and Jess Lingard, face uncertain futures at Old Trafford, and their potential exits could lead to United spending big in the next transfer window.
