Report: Man Utd 'In Talks' With Solskjaer Replacement
Many top clubs across Europe were recently put on high alert when PSG sporting director Leonardo admitted that the 32-year-old had officially asked to be sold in this transfer window.
One of those teams is believed to be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United, although clubs such as Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are also reportedly interested in securing his signature.
With striker Marcus Rashford injured, and the Red Devils boss having just Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood as attacking options available to him, former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop feels the Cavani would be the perfect signing for the struggling English giants.

"Listen, I understand there are other clubs, Atleti and Chelsea, interested," he told ESPN FC.
"In all honesty, if I'm Edinson Cavani, those two probably are more attractive to me right now.
"But if you're Manchester United and Edinson Cavani is available, you go after him, especially with Rashford being out for, what, (at least) six weeks they're saying now.
"You need goals, you need somebody playing through the middle, but more importantly, I think Manchester United are in desperate need of characters, of players with personality and experience."
Ronaldo Sets More Scoring Records
Cavani made his start in Europe in 2007, and has since scored 248 goals in Europe's top five leagues playing for Napoli, Palermo and Paris Saint-Germain – only Messi and Ronaldo having struck more times in league football than the Uruguayan since 2007.
