Manchester United have made just one signing so far in this transfer window, but have now been linked with a "crazy offer" for an African superstar.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side has only wrapped up one deal in Swansea winger Daniel James so far, but are still in the market for a few more signings.
Amid rumours linking the club with the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, talkSPORT has now claimed that they are interested in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The report states that United have identified the African superstar as potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who is believed to be keen to join Inter Milan.
TalkSPORT host Andy Goldstein claimed a very reliable source has told him United are considering a whopping £70 million (R1.13 billion) offer for the Arsenal forward.
"The source has told me that United are interested in signing Aubameyang," Goldstein said on talkSPORT.
"I'm being told £70 million first offer. It's crazy money for a 30-year-old."
Aubameyang finished the 2018/19 Premier League campaign as joint top goalscorer, sharing the Golden Boot with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, with the three African superstars netting 22 goals each.
