Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward briefly addressed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's future in a statement following rumours the manager is facing the sack at Old Trafford.
The Norwegian has come under major pressure of late at the Red Devils, with reports suggesting that Mauricio Pochettino is being lined up to replace him in the Mancunians' hot seat.
In a statement alongside United's first-quarter financial results, however, Woodward insisted the club is still behind Solskjaer, although he did highlight the team's need to maintain a certain level.
"On the pitch, while there is still hard work ahead to achieve greater consistency, we remain absolutely committed to the positive path we are on under Ole as the team continues to develop," he said in the statement, according to Goal.
"We miss playing in front of our fans and we are working hard together with our governing bodies and relevant authorities to ensure that fans can safely return as soon as possible."
United are currently 14th on the Premier League table, having won just three of their first seven matches of the campaign, although they do have a game in hand.
