Man Utd To Chase Former Liverpool Star?
Following their poor start to the season, Manchester United are reportedly looking to bolster their squad with the addition of a former Liverpool star in January.
With the Red Devils struggling with injuries and form, Sky Sports News reported that the club are considering a move for Juventus midfielder Emre Can in the winter transfer window.
Despite losing Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera in the space of six months, United failed to sign a single a central midfielder in the last transfer window.
Can has spent the last four years with the Serie A giants after leaving Liverpool, but has now been relegated to a bench role this season after making just three substitute appearances.
To make matters worse for the German this season, he was left out of Juventus' UEFA Champions League squad along with striker Mario Mandzukic, who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Can recently expressed his unhappiness with his current situation while on duty with Germany.
"I'm not happy [at Juventus ] right now. I don't play much at the moment," Can said, according to the Mirror.
"Last season I played a lot. Especially in important games for Juventus. And I also played well there. I haven't had a chance this season.
"But now I think, when I come back to the club, I will get chances again.
"I am definitely grateful to Joachim Low. Because I didn't play much in the club and he invited me anyway. Nevertheless, he gave me the chance. That's why I was simply happy that I played again."
