Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini has been tested positive for coronavirus, Chinese Super League club Shandong Luneng confirmed on Sunday.
Fellaini returned to China on Friday to rejoin the rest of the squad and tested postive for the virus.
The Chinese outfit revealed that the 32-year-old did not have a fever and was asymptomatic, but he has now been in self-isolation.
The Chinese Super League was the first professional league to be hit by the virus after the star of the 2020 season 22 February- was delayed.
Fellaini is the first Chinese Super League player to contract the virus while Brazilian striker Dori , who plays in the Chinese second tier, also tested positive.
