Premier League giants Manchester United have announced the extension of Odion Ighalo's loan deal, which is now set to expire in January 2021.

The Nigerian joined United on deadline day in January, but his deal was set to expire on 31 May. The Red Devils, though, have now agreed an extension with Ighalo's parent club Shanghai Shenhua.
"The Nigerian striker's stay was initially due to end on 31 May but he will now remain with the Reds until 31 January 2021, enabling him to build on an impressive start to life with the club he supported as a boy," a statement on the club's official website read.

Ighalo, has scored four goals in eight appearances for United so far, will now be part of the club's squad until next year.
Premier League football will resume on 17 June, with United still in three competitions, namely the FA Cup, the UEFA Europa League and the English top flight.
