Following Kylian Mbappe's shock admission he could seek a new challenge, Paris Saint-Germain have issued a statement to address the controversial comments.
The 20-year-old claimed the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year and the Ligue 1 Player of the Year awards at the Union Nationale des Footballeurs Professionnels awards on Sunday, after which he admitted he wants more responsibility as a player.
Mbappe added that he could look for this elsewhere if he does not get it at PSG, comments that many publications have interpreted as him opening the door to a move to Real Madrid.
The storm that followed the forward's remarks was seemingly enough for the French giants to feel the rumours should be rubbished, something they appeared to do via a statement on Monday night.

"Very strong ties have united Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe for two years and this story will continue together also next season," the statement read, according to Live Soccer TV.
"With the shared ambition to write the history of European football, in the year of the 50th anniversary of PSG, a long awaited moment to write together a big page in the history of our club and in which everyone will have to do his part, always giving value to the collective."
With one Ligue 1 game left before the end of the season, Mbappe has scored 38 goals and assisted a further 17 strikes in 42 matches across all competitions for PSG so far in this campaign.
