With Mario Balotelli having been a revelation since joining Olympique Marseille, he equalled a 50-year-old club record after scoring over the weekend.
With his first goal on the night, Balotelli scored in his fifth straight home fixture in France's top flight, matching a record held by Josip Skoblar.
Skoblar, however, holds the main record of scoring in nine successive home encounters for Marseille.
Since joining Marseille from OGC Nice in January, Balotelli has found a new lease of life, netting seven goals in nine league appearances.
The 28-year-old will be hoping his form catches the attention of Italy manager Roberto Mancini.
