Mbappe & Cavani Lead PSG Past Caen

Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani were among the goals as Paris Saint-Germain cruised to a 3-1 win over Caen in Ligue 1 on Wednesday evening.
The hosts got off to a promising start as Kylian Mbappe went close to scoring by blazing over from close range after five minutes.
PSG continued to dominate and they were eventually rewarded in the 21st minute as Mbapped did well to pick out Cavani, who sent a fine backheel effort past Remy Vercoutre.
Three minutes later, the visitors nearly leveled matters but Kelvin Trapp produced a superb stop to keep out a strike from Ronny Rodelin.
The half's next chance arrived three minutes before the break when Neymar sent a curling free-kick inches over the crossbar from just outside the box.
The score remained 1-0 to the home side at the halftime break.
With 12 minutes played in the second half, PSG managed to double their lead as Mbappe collected a fine pass from Celso Giovani before firing past Vercoutre.
Neymar nearly added his name to scoresheet in the 69th minute but the Brazilian struck upright in a one-on-one situation with Vercoutre.
In the 77th minute, Trapp came to PSG's rescue once again as he pulled off a fine stop to tip Ivan Santini's header over the crossbar.
The hosts eventually grabbed a third goal in the 81st minute when Yuri Berchiche fired home from close range.
Caen were awarded a penalty in stoppage time when Thiago Silva was adjudged to have handled in the box. Santini stepped up and scored the spot-kick but it was nothing more than a consolation, 3-1.
