PSG's home shirt features is usual singular broad red stripe, which first appeared in 1973 – three years after the formation of the club – and has been part of many of their kits over the years.
"The Hechter stripe (named after the club's former president Daniel Hechter) is a special symbol of PSG and I think it is right that we will wear a classic version of it for this important anniversary," defender Marquinhos said in an official statement.
"It is amazing to think of all the famous kits and the great players to have worn them — now it is time for this team to make its own history while wearing this beautiful design."
PSG's new away kit also features the Hechter stripe and was inspired their 1995/96 strip, when they won their first European title.
Inter, meanwhile, launched their new away kit on Monday, and it has a white base with black and blue lines forming a grid graphic that covers the front, back and sleeves.
"The alternating black and blue lines make for a really fresh interpretation of the club's typical away look and really reinforces their Nerazzurri identity," Scott Munson, VP of Nike Football Apparel, explained.
