French Ligue 1
Full Time: Nantes 4-1 PSG
Date: 26 September 2015
Venue: Stade de la Beaujoire
A superb second half showing from Paris Saint Germain saw them come from a goal behind to beat Nantes 3-1 in a French Ligue match at the Stade de la Beaujoire on Saturday.
It was a great start to the game for the home side who took the lead after only 11 minutes courtesy of a strike from Moroccan Yacine Bammou who turned home a pass from Valentin Rongier, 1-0.
PSG struggled to find their rhythm in the opening half and were unable to really break down the Nantes defence which saw them with very little opportunity in front of goal.
Nantes, on the other hand, seemed content to sit back in defence and hold onto the ball after taking the early lead.
Neither side could add to the scoreline before the break.
PSG came out firing at the start of the second half and equalised three minutes into the stanza courtesy of clinical finish from superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 1-1.
The away team continued to dictate terms and made their pressure tell in the 73rd minute when Edinson Cavani found the back of the net after some good build up play, 2-1.
PSG made certain of the win with their third goal in the 80th minute courtesy of a powerful shot from Angel Di Maria, 3-1.
The icing on the cake was Serge Aurier’s goal in the dying seconds of the game to see PSG win 4-1.
