With FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain's rivalry heating up recently following rumours Neymar wants to return to the Catalan club, the French side appears to have got one over the Blaugrana after signing one of their most talented youngsters.
On Tuesday, PSG announced the arrival of 16-year-old Dutch midfielder Xavi Simons, whose agent is Mino Raiola, from the Catalan giants.
The player has signed his first-ever professional contract with the French champions after being produced in Barca's famous La Masia academy, with the contract set to expire in 2022.
Considered one of the best young players Barca have produced in recent years, Simons was tipped for a bright future at the Spanish giants, but has decided to continue his development in Paris.
According to PSG's website, Simons has been capped five times for the Netherlands U15 side, and three times for his country's U16 team.
The French giants' relationship with Barca has taken major strain in recent years, with this latest bit of business likely to upset the Spanish club further.
