Coupe De France
Result: Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 Dijon
Date: 26 February 2019
Venue: Parc di Princes
A brace from Angel di Maria guided Paris Saint-Germain to victory over Dijon and secured a spot in the Coupe de France semi-finals.
The hosts made the perfect start as Angel Di Maria got beyond the Dijon defence before sending a delightful lob into the far corner after eight minutes.
It was one-way traffic in the first half as Eric Choupo-Moting went close to doubling the lead on 20 minutes with an effort from distance that forced goalkeeper Runar Runarsson into a fine save.
Eight minutes later, the home side's lead was doubled as Di Maria completed his brace with a close range finish past a helpless Runarrson.
Dijon, who had only one win five matches coming into the tie, were unable to mount any serious openings in the first as PSG shot-stopper Gianluigi Buffon enjoyed a quiet opening 45 minutes.
The second certainly panned out differently as Dijon's Julio Tavares' forced Buffon into a superb after 57 minutes before Julian Draxler squandered a good chance at the other end.
However, PSG killed off any hopes of an attempted comeback when Choupo-Moting turned provider to pick out Thomas Meunier to fire home from close range.
With PSG comfortably leading, Thomas Tuchel withdrew a few of the senior players and gave some game time to the younger players for the final 10 minutes as the hosts cruised into the last four.
