Zidane Reacts To Real's Copa Humiliation

Zinedine Zidane Reacts To Real Madrid’s Copa Del Rey Humiliation

By Kurt Buckerfield - Jan 25, 2018 07:29 AM @KurtLaduma

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has reacted to his side getting knocked out of the Copa del Rey by minnows Leganes on Wednesday night, and admitted his job is on the line.

After falling short in their league performances this season, Zidane might have thought the Copa del Rey was a great chance for Los Blancos to win silverware, but it was not to be.

Real suffered a 2-1 loss at home to Leganes on Wednesday, and the Frenchman was quick to admit afterwards that the defeat was a massive disappointment.

"Yes, it's a failure for me, clearly," he said, according to Marca.

"Yes, I feel very responsible. We didn't play the game, especially in the first half, after winning a complicated game away. We didn't play well enough today, we didn't play how we had to play. We can say what we want but it's very hard, it's a difficult night for everyone.

"We will look at the situation and I will first because I am to blame. We can't change things, there were 90 minutes to do that and we didn't. Now we have to think about tomorrow, to get up and keep working because on Saturday there is another game."

Zidane was also asked if he feels his job is in jeopardy.

"That is clear, I am responsible for this," he added.

"I'm the one who has to find solutions for the team to be more efficient."

Real will play three LaLiga games, against Valencia, Levante and Real Sociedad, before the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 against Paris Saint-Germain at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Yeeer Zidane lacks balls and courage anjan. Believe me if Pep was in charge of Real, he would've sold Bale & cr7 n signed young exciting forwards or wouldve already replaced Morata. Instead of looking for solutions, he's busy defending cr7 and Benzema but they're both dead players mxm.

@Pirates_999, you're such a sore looser. Discrediting the Copa del Rey just because Madrid is out. We all know that Madrid would have loved to win trebble or more this season and that includes Copa del Rey. You say you understand football but anyone who understands it will know that the Copa del Rey is one of the major competitions in Spanish football and it's a big deal if Madrid doesn't do well in it especially when being knocked out by so called small teams.

Now Zizo is the one to be blame. I think aunt Penaldo should be the one to be blamed, and the second person is Perez for running necked in the media after Neyma leave Barcelona.

If you only started following football when your mama bought a TV for 2010 WC then you will be surprised by the results, but if you've been following football you will understand that Real Madrid doesn't do well in Copa "CheapCup" Del Rey
