Amid reports that Antoine Griezmann is irritated at how certain FC Barcelona players, including Lionel Messi, reacted to rumours linking him with the club, the reason why the Catalan giants are yet to sign the Frenchman has now seemingly been revealed.
Atletico Madrid recently announced the departure of the 28-year-old, with reports indicating he had long agreed to join the Blaugrana.
However, it might still take another month before Barcelona will move ahead with the deal because that is when Griezmann's release clause will drop from €200 million (R3.3 billion) to €120 million (R2 billion), according to Marca.

As a consequence, it is believed the club has put his acquisition on ice until he becomes more affordable after 1 July, but there are also a few other issues that still need to be sorted out.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner reportedly upset the Catalans' dressing room, including senior figures such as captain Messi and Gerard Pique, after deciding to stay at the Rojiblancos despite being heavily linked with Barcelona ahead of last season.
