A wantaway FC Barcelona star is reportedly edging closer to a move to the Premier League, and Manchester United could be in pole position for the player's signature.
Colombia international Yerry Mina put himself in the shop window after putting in some memorable performances at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The centre-back, who wants regular first-team football, has caught the attention of many clubs in Europe recently, but Merseyside club Everton are reportedly the only side that has a formal bid on the table so far.
According to Spanish publication Sport, the Red Devils have now opened talks with Mina's representatives over a possible deal in the coming days.
The Blaugrana have reportedly rejected a €30 million (R463 million), plus €4 million (R61 million) in variables, offer from the Toffees already, so if United want a deal, they would need to bid higher than that.
Jose Mourinho is said to be desperate to sign a new centre-back in this transfer window amid concerns about the long-term futures of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling.
United have also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur's Toby Alderweireld and Leicester City's Harry Maguire, but both stars have seen their prices being hiked up by their clubs, which has seemingly forced the English giants to look elsewhere.
