Teams: Real Betis v FC Barcelona
Date: 21 January 2018
Venue: Estadio Benito Villamarín
LaLiga leaders FC Barcelona will look to bounce back from their derby defeat to Espanyol when they visit Real Betis at the Benito Villamarín on Sunday.
The match is scheduled to start at 15h30.
The Blaugrana went down 1-0 in the first leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final on Wednesday, but although they are in a precarious position in the cup, they are nevertheless cruising in the league.
Ernesto Valverde’s side have won 16 La Liga games and drawn three halfway through the season, leaving them on course to surpass the points record of 100 in a single season.
Although Betis head into this game as overwhelming underdogs, they have also had a significantly better season than last.
Having finished 15th in the league in 2016/17, they have enjoyed a positive start to life under Quique Setién, winning eight and drawing three of their first 19 games in this campaign.
Having picked up victories over Sevilla and Leganés in their first two games of 2018, they will now set their sights on claiming the biggest scalp in La Liga — and possibly world football.
Here's how they line up:
Betis: Adan; Francis, Mandi, Feddal, Durmisi; Garcia, Fabian, Guardado; Tello, Leon, Joaquin.
Barca: Ter Stegen, Semedo, Piqué, Vermaelen, Alba;, Rakitic, Busquets, S. Roberto, André Gomes; Messi, Suárez.
