Teams: Real Betis v Real Madrid
Date: 18 February 2018
Venue: Benito Villamarín
Real Madrid will be looking to build some momentum in LaLiga when they travel to Benito Villamarín to face Real Betis.
Zinedine Zidane’s charges produced an impressive display when they beat big spenders Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 tie on Wednesday evening.
Before their Champions League triumph over the Parisians, they thrashed Real Sociedad 5-2 last weekend and are slowly catching form as the season reaches it’s climax.
Los Blancos are placed fourth on the log with 42 points from 22 games. They are a massive 20 points behind leaders and rivals FC Barcelona.
Real will be without influential midfielder Toni Kroos, who has been ruled out owing to a knee injury he picked up at training.
The Seville-based side, meanwhile, caused a major upset in the first round clash as they downed Zidane’s troops 1-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Betis beat Deportivo La Coruna 1-0 last weekend and will be motivated coming into this clash.
The host are chasing a European spot as they lie in ninth position with 33 points from 23 games.
Here's how they line up:
Betis: Adán; Barragán, Mandi, Amat, Bartra, Junior; Guardado, Fabián, Joaquín; Boudebouz, Loren.
Madrid: Navas, Carvajal, Nacho, Ramos, Marcelo, Lucas, Casemiro, Kovacic, Asensio, Bale, Ronaldo.
