In-Form Ronaldo Rescues Victory For Real

Cristiano Ronaldo continued his scoring run by netting a brace to guide Real Madrid to a 2-1 win over Eibar at the Ipurua Municipal Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Toni Kroos and Luka Modric returned to the starting line up along with Gareth Bale.
It was the hosts who threatened early on with former Los Blancos winger Pedro Leon heading over the crossbar from close range inside the opening five minutes.
Los Blancos struggled to get going in the first and they were dealt a blow on 28 minutes when Raphael Varane sustained a head injury. He was replaced by Nacho.
The deadlock was broken on 34 minutes as Luka Modric played a sublime long pass to Ronaldo, who fired home at the near post from 12-yards out.
Los Blancos had a couple more chances to extend their lead before the halftime break, but Eibar shot-stopper Marko Dmitrovic did well to keep the visitors at bay.
However, Eibar managed to level matters five minutes into the second half when Iván Ramis powered a header into the bottom corner after meeting a cross from Leon.
Bale had a chance to restore Real's lead in the 63rd minute but his header sailed inches wide of the upright.
Eibar showed no signs of sitting back and almost went ahead on 82 minnutes but Kike Garcia sent his low strike just wide of the upright.
However, it was Real who restored their lead in the 84th minute as Carvajal picked out Ronaldo, who sent a fine header past Dmitrovic
The hosts pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages but Los Blancos managed to see out the game and claim three points.
