FC Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero has broken his silence on reports that he is set to retire due to a heart problem.
Aguero was taken off in the first half against Deportivo Alaves due to a reported breathing problem and was taken to hospital.
Catalunya Radio reported that the Argentine striker may have to hang up his boots due to the serious healthcare that will keep out for three months.
However, Aguero took to social media to respond to the rumours of an early retirement, he tweeted, "Given the rumors, I can say that I am following the instructions of the club's doctors, doing tests and treatment and checking my progress within 90 days. Always positive."
Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni has revealed he has been in contact with the former Manchester City striker.
"Regarding Kun, yes, we’ve talked and we’ve sent each other messages. Besides him being a player, he is a boy we appreciate a lot," Scaloni said, as per Goal/
“We are sad because he is going through something no-one deserves.
“We hope he recovers and could be playing as soon as possible. We send him all our support.”
