According to Spanish publication Sport, Los Blancos are desperate to bring in a centre-forward in the upcoming window due to Karim Benzema and Mariano Diaz's inconsistency in front of goal.
Mariano has had injury struggles since returning to the Spanish capital, which might concern Real's board after the money they spent to bring him back to the club in the latest transfer window.
It has also been claimed that former Barca and Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is on Real's list, although the 37-year-old would only be available on a short-term deal.
The club would also reportedly consider a move for Monaco striker Radamel Falcao, 32, who spent two years at city rivals Atletico Madrid between 2011 and 2013.
Paris Saint-Germain attacker Edinson Cavani could also be another option, as could Inter Milan and Barca youth product Mauro Icardi, who, at 25 years old, is considered one of the deadliest strikers in Europe.
