A Real Madrid superstar is reportedly considering a shock exit after his agents were contacted about a possible transfer to a Serie A club.
According to Sky Italia, Croatia international Luka Modric is tempted to join Inter Milan, with the Italian club having apparently made contact with the player's agents.
The 32-year-old, who has spent six years at the Santiago Bernabeu so far, is yet to report for pre-season training following his involvement in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Modric, who is considered by many to be one of the best midfielders in the world, was named the Player of the Tournament in Russia last month, and it seems unlikely that Real will let him go after losing Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.
Inter are hoping to make a big statement by signing the former Tottenham Hotspur star, and show their intent to win the Italian top flight trophy in 2018/19.
The Serie A outfit has a strong Croatian contingent at the club already, which could be a huge drawcard for Modric as he would like to play alongside his countrymen who did so well at the World Cup.
