New reports suggest that Spanish giants Real Madrid have reported a Serie A outfit to FIFA over their alleged illegal attempt to sign one of Los Blancos' star players.
According to Cadena SER, Real have filed a complaint with football's governing body against Inter Milan over their approach for midfielder Luka Modric.
The Croatia international, who captained his country to the 2018 World Cup final and was named Player of the Tournament, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, with his agent openly flirting with the idea of his client moving to Italy in this transfer window.
Real president Florentino Perez is apparently fuming with Inter for making contact with Modric and his representative without the Spanish club's permission, and has reportedly opted to take action against the Nerazzurri.
The Madrid side will not want to lose a player like Modric in the same window as Cristiano Ronaldo, who left for Juventus last month.
The Croatian playmaker joined Real from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012, and has won the La Liga title once and the Champions League four times since.
