Reports: Real Madrid In Talks With R1.17bn Striker
Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly in talks with a £72 million (R1.17 billion) striker, and it is not Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.
According to The Independent, Los Blancos are planning on overhauling their attack at the end of the season, and are considering signing Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski.
Club president Florentino Perez is desperate to revamp the famous "BBC" trio, which consists of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, who have not been at their scoring best this season.
Los Blancos, who have been linked with Kane in recent months, have apparently switched their attention to the 29-year-old Bundesliga star over the past few days.
Apparently, the reason for the LaLiga outfit having changed their focus is because they believe signing the England international will prove difficult.
There are rumours that reigning Premier League champions Chelsea are also interested in the Polish star, and will try do everything in their power to land his signature.
Lewandowski is said to want a new challenge in his career as he feels there is nothing else for him to win in Germany.
The Poland international has made 34 appearances for Bayern so far this season, scoring 29 goals and assisting a further four strikes.
