Spanish giants Real Madrid have reportedly identified a new transfer target, following speculation the player could look to quit his Premier League club.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Los Blancos are among several clubs monitoring Toby Alderweireld's situation at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Belgium international's contract with the London-based club expires in 2020, and it is believed he feels he could possibly earn a bigger wage elsewhere.
Alderweireld, considered by many to be one of the best defenders in the Premier League, is reportedly on £75 000 (R1.2 million) a week at Spurs.
Real are said to be one of the clubs chasing the player's signature, with reports suggesting his current deal includes a release clause of just £25 million (R413 million).
It is believed that Manchester City and Chelsea are also interested in securing the 28-year-old's services.
