With teams in Europe looking to prepare for the 2019/20 season, it is believed that Manchester City and FC Barcelona are right at the front of the race to sign a Portuguese wonderkid who has been labelled the "next Cristiano Ronaldo".
Joao Felix has impressed in a big way since bursting on to the scene at Benfica, with many top European clubs reportedly after his signature.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a sublime 2018/19 campaign, contributing to 31 goals in 43 matches across all competitions.
According to Portuguese journalist Rui Pedro Braz, who was speaking on TVi24, Pep Guardiola's City and Spanish giants Barca have emerged as the favourites to sign the starlet.
Felix has been compared to his compatriot Ronaldo, although he plays more in the role of a second striker than a left winger.
The attacker has four years remaining on his current contract, which reportedly contains a release clause of €120 million (R1.9 billion).
The likes of Manchester United and Atletico Madrid are also believed to be interested in the youngster.
