Spanish giants FC Barcelona are said to be looking into the possibility of signing a Juventus star who is reportedly valued at €60 million (R947 million).
Although Barca are top of the LaLiga table and qualified comfortably for the next round of the UEFA Champions League, manager Ernesto Valverde is not resting on his laurels.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Catalan club boss is already looking to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
It has been claimed that Barca are interested in signing Uruguayan midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur from the Bianconeri.
With Sami Khedira and Emre Can having suffered with injuries this season, the young central midfielder has been given plenty of first-team opportunities this season.
The 21-year-old, who represented Uruguay at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, is believed to be valued at about €60 million (R947 million) by Barca.
There have also been reports that the Bianconeri want to offer Bentancur an improved deal following his impressive displays this season.
The midfielder has made 15 appearances for Juve so far this season, contributing to three goals along the way.
