With Benfica reportedly interested in goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, Barca are said to be looking at which youngsters from the Portuguese club they could include in a deal.
According to A Bola, the Catalan club are interested in 18-year-old Benfica B right-back Tomas Tavares, who the Blaugrana would reportedly be willing to spend up to €8 million (R128 million) on.
The report claims that amount would be taken off from the Portuguese champions’ €20 million (R321 million) offer for Cillessen, which essentially means the Dutchman could move for around €12 million (R193 million).
It is believed that Barca are also considering moves for 19-year-old Florentino Luis and 20-year-old Jota, though they are not necessarily looking to bring those two in right away. If Cillessen is to go to Portugal, the LaLiga giants are reported to want first option on both Luis and Jota.
Players such as Matthijs de Ligt and Antoine Griezmann are also linked with Ernesto Valverde’s side, with Frenkie de Jong the only secured signing ahead of the 2019/2020 season so far.
