According to Esport3, the Catalan club will pay the Frenchman's £100 million (R1.63 billion) release clause at the end of the season.
Barca and the player have reportedly come to an agreement over a transfer that will see the forward leave Atletico after four years.
Griezmann’s consistency for Diego Simeone’s side has seen him become one of the most feared attackers in Europe, and has also been recognised for his exploits on the international stage.
Since his debut for France in 2014, the 26-year-old has made 49 appearances for his country, and will be an important figure for Les Bleus at the FIFA World Cup later this year.
The player has been linked with Barca heavily in recent months, following his failed move to Manchester United last season.
Griezmann was expected to join countryman Paul Pogba at the Red Devils at the beginning of this campaign, but opted to stay in Spain when Atletico were slapped with a transfer ban that would not allow them to replace him.
He has since emerged as one of the Blaugrana's main targets, and is reportedly likely to wear the No. 7 shirt in the 2018/19 campaign.
New Barca signing Philippe Coutinho was expected to wear the famous No. 7, but it has been claimed the club gave him No. 14 as they are reserving that jersey for Griezmann.
The forward, who made a name for himself at Real Sociedad, has scored 99 goals and assisted a further 35 strikes in 192 matches for Atletico.
