Spanish giants FC Barcelona are reportedly lining up a bid worth £60 million (R1.03 billion) for a Manchester United star who is struggling to hold down a first team spot.

According to the Daily Mail, the Blaugrana are considering making an offer for France starlet Anthony Martial in the upcoming transfer window.

Since the arrival of Chilean superstar Alexis Sanchez in January, the winger has started only four games for the Old Trafford club, and has failed to find the back of the net.

Reports suggest that Martial is stalling new contract talks with Red Devils officials as he has concerns over his future under manager Jose Mourinho.

The 22-year-old is said to be unhappy that he is expected to operate on the right wing in recent weeks, rather than his preferred left side, to accommodate Sanchez.

The former Monaco starlet's current deal expires in June 2019, but the English side does have an option to extend the Frenchman's contract by one further year.

Barcelona reportedly considered a bid for Martial last season already, but instead decided to pursue Ousmane Dembele, who was at Borussia Dortmund at the time.

Barca's Next Transfer Target Revealed?

The France international has made 41 appearances for the Red Devils this season, scoring 11 goals and assisting a further 10 strikes.
